And Who Is My Neighbor?

Samuel Sarpiya, 2018 Annual Conference Moderator, has shared a deep and meaningful reflection on the story of The Good Samaritan and how it relates to the recent events in Charlottesville, VA, the increase of hate crimes, the current rise of white supremacy, and the awareness of social injustices. In light of these events, he asks the questions, who is our neighbor and how do we be a neighbor. Samuel reminds us that God calls us to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God and that we “must connect the words of our faith with our actions.”  If you, like me, are wondering and struggling with what to do next, Samuel’s article is a good first place to start to engage the question and begin looking for answers.
